The Porsche Taycan, which is widely used in the Tesla Model S, is more than a sedan with a very nice pencil pencil stroke. PORSCHE’S CHARACTERISTIC IS THE PORSCHE TAYCAN.
The Porsche Taycan has an electric battery of 80-volts, which will allow the battery to recharge quickly. With the power of 270 kW and a dedicated charge of five to 80% in less than 23 minutes, driving with a Porsche Taycan poses only a few problems.
Today we have the most autonomy for a car, the Porsche Taycan 4S, the battery Performance Plus (93 kWh). This distance is no longer required in the mixed cycle.

We’ll use all the charging networks, such as Ionity, Allego and Totalenergies, to get to our destination as fast as possible. Since these trips are mostly on the highway, we won’t probably plan a stop at Tesla Superchargers, but the double disadvantage is being limited to 400 Volt (so charging is slower) and often near the motorway (the detour is required then).
As usual, A Better Route Planner will be used to plan the routes, the standard of consumption being considered as the standard car model.
ROUTE PLANNING
To avoid being upset with any electric car, we make trips with battery: this filling is essentially the equivalent of 0.17 euros in France to start paying for it. The 93 kWh then represent 16 euro. Let’s just take that amount to the fast charge.
The first major route starts from Orleans to Arcachon (530 km), so that it combines a typical summer route. The winter route connects Caen and Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (850 kilometers) so you can combine the length and elevation gain.
For the summer route, the recommended parameters are: 25 degrees C outside temperature, without wind, arrival at a charging station with 10 batteries remaining, and arrival at destination at 20%. For the winter trip, that isn’t the same, a temperature that we chose zero degrees Celsius in particular.

On planning this summer trip, An Better Route Planner offers two relatively short stops: less than 10 minutes each time. It is possible to do that same trip with a single charge in the middle, but it will take more time.
The Porsche Taycan shows what the world has to offer for its journey. An Allego terminal is used for the first charge, and an Ionity station is there for the second.
All in all, 18 minutes of charge costs 45 euros/hr, which is required to add the start house load. The journey cost is therefore at 61 euros. In these conditions, the estimated fuel consumption is 226 Wh/km, and its maximum range is 410 kilometers.
IN WINTER, LESS THAN AN HOUR IS CHARGING FOR 850 KM.
In addition to energy efficiency when the temperature drops, the electric vehicles are not as efficient. Even though a few electric vehicles are generating electricity, their electricity can’t always carry a fast charge. It doesn’t look a thing at the Porsche Taycan, which asks less than an hour of charging to travel 850 kilometers at 0 degrees.
Four charges (8, 22, 16 and 11 minutes) are offered, with 20 o’clock batteries remaining, and the axis between Caen and Chamonix is full of fast chargers. In this journey, Engie, Ionity and Total energies cost around 130 euros.
By adding a home charge, we get a 146 euro for this winter drive in a Porsche Taycan. Finally, note that the estimated autonomie on this route’s 266 Wh/km consumption is 350 kilometers, in the mean and half an hour faster than in the summer.

THE PORSCHE TAYCAN IS HOME ON LONG TRIPS.
Is travel by Porsche Taycan cheap? That’s a question that can be posed here, a car that can afford by itself is probably not available in a couple of hundred euros on long trips. In contrast, different vehicles may be compared to different vehicles in the world. To simplify calculations, a kilowatt hour of quick charging costs 0.70 euros, but if it’s for the operators and any subscriptions, certain charges may be more or less expensive.
Among the rivals of the Taycans, we find a large number of models and a few Mercedes EQS. The Mercedes EQS can charge less than the Porsche Taycan (50 vs 58 minutes). But the Tesla Model S still has the big time, with just about half an hour planned. The Porsche Tashican price is 17 euros per 100 km, if not far off the Tesla Model S (10.50/100 km) and the Mercedes EQS (33.5/100 km).
The main reason for this is the small battery size on the Porsche Taycan, and the smaller the consumption rate is. The Tesla Model S takes about nine minutes to charge, compared to 14 for the Mercedes EQS and 19 for the Porsche Taycan.
On the summer route, the cost per 100 kilometers is much lower; 1,50 euros is equivalent to a thermal car of every 100 kilometers that consumes 6. liters to about 100 kilometers. If the Porsche Taycan does not do this exercise as well as the Mercedes EQS or the Tesla Model S, other advantages will be evidently recognized.
